Darrow Shoot

Yesterday evening, we were in Darrow, LA taking a few shots for our upcoming show at Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge on Saturday, October 4th. The top two with DM and Torrence in them were taken at The Cabin, a local tourist attraction and the bottom one, featuring Thurman, was taken in a field. We got about three good group pics that will be used for promoting the show. Those particular money shots you'll be able to see soon!

Food Network Shoot

Today we got the pleasure to shoot some stills of food for the Food Network! They're doing an upcoming segment on alligator and it just so happens that a spot here in Baton Rouge, Frankie's Dawg House, has the best alligator dawg around. We, along with our friend Drew Reilley, were able to style and shoot this delectable dawg, aiming to capture it's goodness in hopes of calling any on-looker's salivary glands to full attention. Below are some BTS (behind the scenes) shots for you to peep.

#TBT Umami Burger

Despite our slight frames, we enjoy eating and on this trip to Los Angeles we were determined to search for some local hot spots to dig in to. After two recommendations, we decided to check out Umami Burger. Named after the fifth and lesser known taste, an Umami burger is anything but forgettable. Umami Burger has a very unique aesthetic and it's stylish looks are matched by it's high standard of food quality and preparation. All meat sourced to create an Umami burger is from grass-fed cows. With high quality meat, they suggest that you consume their burgers medium rare to ensure full flavor. We decided to try the truffle burger, which obviously has truffles ground in with the meat. This burger met and exceeded our expectations leaving us searching for other locations in Northern California for the second leg of our trip. Mmm mmm good!

VMFA

Took some snaps around the Virginia Museum of Fine Art.

Standard Razors

We'll admit neither of us have enough facial hair to get some good use out of these, but we can't deny how cool they are to look at and how great they feel in-hand. If you're not familiar with types of razors, these are double-edged safety razors, much different from run of the mill cartridge razors. Shaving with a safety razor can be likened to steeping loose leaf tea as opposed to using a tea bag or grinding your own coffee rather than snagging a store bought pre-ground bag. These particular double-edged razors by Standard Razors are all about supreme quality for an enhanced shaving experience, which they mostly attribute to their precision-machined shaving geometry. Being lovers of minimal design, we can't help but dig these matte finished, aircraft grade aluminum beauties.
