Barbour

In love with this jacket by Barbour and on cold, nasty days (like today) it definitely comes in handy. The official suppliers of waterproof and protective clothing to Britain's Royal Family, Barbour's products are best know for their stout functionality, reliability, and classic styling. We're fans of this particular jacket because it's not too thick, blocks out the wind, is great for layering, and it's just got a smoov look about it.

Sean Richardson

With being selected for 225 Magazine's "People To Watch" for 2015, we wanted dope visuals to go along with it to share with our followers and friends. Below are some portraits taken by our friend Sean Richardson, who is without a doubt a wizard behind the lens.

Don’t call them musicians, philanthropists, filmmakers or PR specialists. Yes, Torrence and Thurman Thomas are all of these things—but don’t call them just one. Their joint creative project and identity ASKTHETHOMASBROS isn’t just a band; together, they’re a brand.

These twins write and produce R&B music influenced by Motown and ’N Sync, help with marketing for institutions like Bacardi and Lincoln Motor Company, and curate an image as Red Stick renaissance men. After studying Kanye West’s struggle to cross over from music to fashion, the Thomas brothers swore never to limit themselves.

“It’s just human nature to make things easy to digest and simple to understand—to put it in a box,” Torrence says. “We brand ourselves as creators. We never market our services; we market ourselves.”

In 2012 the brothers added outreach to their plate with TANKPROOF, which offers free swimming lessons each summer to the 70% of black children who are unable to swim. Partnering with local churches and Crawfish Aquatics, the program reached 225 students in 2014 and is set to grow even more this year. attb.us

Person Thurman admires most
“Dr. Leroy Thompson. I wouldn’t be the man I am today without him. Everything I’ve learned and the stuff we’ve got is because of him.”

Best advice Torrence has been given
“Be the voice, not the echo.”

Tony Mose

The art you see above the couch is a commissioned piece by the insanely gifted Tony Mose. A couple months ago we sat down with Tony in his Magazine St. gallery in New Orleans to see if he could create a sculpture piece for our living room. A few weeks later, he delivered this gorgeous and unique work to our home. At $6,000 you won't see a piece like this anywhere else and it's safe to say the Thomas Bros have become art collectors!

InstaMeet @ Lamar

Yesterday, we organized an "instameet" with our good friends Jeff Roedel & Cody Wilhite at Lamar Advertising's headquarters here in Baton Rouge, LA. Winifred Reilly was so gracious to open the doors to us and overall it was win, being able to get many of our city's most talented and beautiful under one roof. When creatives, selfie royalty, entrepreneurs, and models come to together, fun and synergy are the ensuing byproducts! Below are some snaps of the invite-only event taken by the talented Cody Wilhite and yours truly.

Reunion

Today was the first time in ten years that we've seen our big sister Nachelle! It was so good to reconnect and catch up on some of the things we've missed between phone calls and random Facebook check-ins. We'll be out here in Atlanta for a couple days, and we're looking forward to whatever awesomeness this trip has in-store.
